Angelina Jolie spotted back at work post-mastectomy

Angelina Jolie returned to work Sunday for the first time since announcing her preventative double mastectomy in May. As TODAY's Mike Taibbi reported on Monday, she was photographed on the set of "Unbroken," a film she is directing that was written by the Coen Brothers ("Fargo")
Jolie announced in May that she had undergone the surgery in February after receiving test results indicating that she carried the BRCA1 gene, which increases the risk for breast and ovarian cancer. She was spotted on the red carpet for the first time after that announcement in June, at the London premiere for fiancé Brad Pitt's film "World War Z." E! reported that Jolie showed up on the set on Sunday dressed in "business chic, arriving in a black pencil skirt, white blouse, nude heels and a large handbag." Though this wasn't likely part of her plan, having gone public with her decision and sparking the discussion about preventative surgery has kept Jolie part of the public discussion and helped her career, The Hollywood Reporter's Matt Belloni told Taibbi: "If anything, the fact that she had this done in a public way has kept her in the headlines; kept her star power a little higher." "Unbroken" is about the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympian who survived being lost at sea when his plane went down, and was imprisoned by Japanese forces as a World War II prisoner of war
